1. Crutch Height: While simultaneously depressing buttons on both sides of the crutch, rotate footpiece clockwise 1/4 inch. Pull the footpiece down until desired height is reached, and lock in place by turning footpiece counter-clockwise. 2. Handgrip: For a comfortable grip, elbow should have a slight bend (approximately 10 degrees). Adjust hand-grip accordingly and tighten bolt and wing nut. 3. Check Fit: Place tip of each crutch 6 inches to the outside and 6 inches in front of feet. Patient should be able to comfortably lean forward while resting on the underarm support. Crutches should be lowered if the patient is forced to stand completely erect.
